Description
Cuidarlos is a dual-sided care platform that connects elderly individuals in need of assistance with professional caretakers. Users can log in either as a family member looking for an assistant or a caretaker providing support, enabling coordinated, compassionate caregiving through one unified app.
Challenge
The original app suffered from low retention and poor usability due to confusing navigation, mismatched visual tone that didn’t align with its emotional purpose.
Approach
Conducted a full UX/UI redesign to address user retention and usability challenges in the original product. Starting with a UX audit, we identified navigation blockers and visual inconsistencies. Then redesigned all screens, built a new UI system, and applied a warmer visual language that better reflects the emotional mission of the app. The new color palette (soft pastels and warm oranges) was chosen to convey care, trust, and family connection.
Results
After launch, the app saw a notable increase in registrations and active use from both families and caretakers. The redesign improved task clarity and emotional tone, helping users feel more confident and connected while using the platform to care for their loved ones.
